"Biju Ibrahim captures the essence of rustic geographies, the people who are now becoming archive of the earth, the mythic and mystery of spaces and places, broken vessels and torn fabric, alleys of now filled with the density of then or before. "

I have published The Ayurvedic Cookbook, which is introducing a very similar diet which we are offering at the Kairali, The Ayurveda Healing Village. It is a very simple purely vegetarian diet. Anyone can visit us, learn it during the stay in our resort.
Part of ayurveda healing is not being afraid to express yourself. There is a thin line between being foolish and genial and we are afraid to cross it. We should have a good laugh or cry when we feel it, rather than trying to bottle it up and be an adult.
SwaSwara reminds me a woman, she can be moody, but still you feel her openness and free flow of all-encompassing energy. She is a mother, a sister, a healer, it's all there! I think, this is Swara of Swa, you can hear that echo in the whole way it's built.
In SwaSwara, we are very clear, that there is so called wellness tourist ayurveda and there is the classical, traditional, curative ayurveda which is what we'd like to offer and focus on.We have chosen the longer path and holistic approach, we do not compromise.
In SwaSwara you evolve along with the place. There's so much openness, that you yourself, start opening up and you see things in a new light. Slowly by slowly, you start opening up and you start loving yourself. That's what happens in SwaSwara.

If you ask me, what is Kerala’s biggest problem today, I would say, it is the garbage! As the Malayali is very conscious of his physical cleanness and wellbeing and he will take his garbage and put it on the street. So that is very, very serious problem as I see it.

One of the Kani tribe chiefs told me: We never had anything white! We drunk no milk, we ate no salt, we ate no sugar, we did not consumed processed flour. We had the millets, the grains, spices and herbs in the forests. I call it a white diet.

In the older days, what we did not do, was to explain things to people. You would say: Do this, it should be done this way! The why and where, nobody bother to explain. But today, you can explain or open the inner eye in anyone, in any age and in any stage of life.

Dharma is a very difficult word for which there is no translation. It is a concept. Our own family motto is Dharmo smat kuladev atam. The British translated is Charity is our household divinity. Dharma is not Charity! There is much more to it!

Lord with the lotus in the naval, our lives have been fulfilled by doing service at your feet. We are fulfilled. Our lives are complete...This has been the motto of the Travancore family for generations and I hope it will continue so as long as family is in the existence.

There are things, which we really do not understand - what is up there, what is out there. People, who do research in astronomy, they find something new every day. All these things definitely have an influence on human body.

In the older days we believed, that the kitchen can be your pharmacy, you had the market right in your garden. We used to cook even with banana skins. Yes, the peel which you discard. But today’s perception of the food is totally different!
