Dharma is a very difficult word for which there is no translation. It is a concept. Our own family motto is Dharmo smat kuladev atam. The British translated is Charity is our household divinity. Dharma is not Charity! There is much more to it!

In the older days, what we did not do, was to explain things to people. You would say: Do this, it should be done this way! The why and where, nobody bother to explain. But today, you can explain or open the inner eye in anyone, in any age and in any stage of life.

One of the Kani tribe chiefs told me: We never had anything white! We drunk no milk, we ate no salt, we ate no sugar, we did not consumed processed flour. We had the millets, the grains, spices and herbs in the forests. I call it a white diet.

If you ask me, what is Kerala’s biggest problem today, I would say, it is the garbage! As the Malayali is very conscious of his physical cleanness and wellbeing and he will take his garbage and put it on the street. So that is very, very serious problem as I see it.

I am basically restless person. I like to walk and explore places on foot. I think, that discovering the city, a village, an area on foot and interacting with local people, that give the very special dimension to your travels.
